Centre Dentaire Limbour: VENEERS

What is a Veneers?

Made of porcelain, acrylic, or a composite resin, dental veneers are thin shells which are bonded to the visible surface of a tooth. Typically, veneers are used to improve the aesthetic appearance of a patient's smile by correcting the shape, colour, or alignment of one or more teeth. If your teeth are discoloured, chipped, crooked, or otherwise unsightly, veneers may be the solution you've been waiting for!

The team at Centre Dentaire Limbour specializes in two types of dental veneers: direct veneers in composite, and direct veneers in IPS e.max® ceramic. Direct veneers are made from a composite resin, and require just one visit. After reducing the externally visible part of the tooth being treated, your dentist will create a matching direct veneer, which is then applied to the tooth, hardened under a light, and shaped. After a final adjustment and polishing, you'll be ready to head home with your beautiful new smile!

Direct veneers in IPS e.max® are typically made from ceramic, which replicates most closely the appearance, resiliency, and durability of a real tooth. After your dentist reduces the externally visible surface of the tooth being treated, they will take a scan of your affected tooth. The restoration is then designed on the computer, and milled in the in-house milling unit. This precise, efficient process allows for the creation of a unique restoration that fits perfectly, and closely resembles your natural tooth enamel both visually and functionally. You are sent home with a beautiful, long-lasting, natural looking smile.

Our dentists have transformed the smiles of so many patients with the help of veneers, and can even use the Smile-Vision® program to show you what your new smile will look like before beginning your smile makeover!
